The Forecast Poll is a sentiment tool that highlights the near to medium term price expectations from the leading market experts polled.

The currency poll sentiment indicator comes with a five year history related to the ten major FX currency pairs. The survey is conducted every Friday and published at 15:00 GMT. The survey is published across all time periods: one week, one month, one quarter and includes an average price for each time horizon. This poll can be followed by traders, market commentators and leading academics.

It should not to be taken as signal or as final target, but as an exchange rates’ heat map of where sentiment and expectations are going.

There's no lag in the data; the forecasts are collated and then immediately released, as an indicator it doesn't lag, there is no delay. As such this is a very useful tool when combined with technical, or fundamental analysis data.

This forecast poll provides sentiment data, based on a representative sample of twenty five to fifty leading trading advisors, over a five year window.
